Media & Data Assistant
Keep production data moving safely from SD cards and camera teams to verified NAS storage and editor-ready footage.
What this is about.
This role owns the practical data workflow behind Bass Portal productions. During studio sessions, video sets and festivals, you keep track of incoming camera media, make sure transfers land in the right folders, verify that nothing is missing and prepare organised footage for editors. You are the person who makes sure nothing gets lost between the camera and the edit.
Real projects, real output.
- Receive and track SD cards and other camera media from videographers and camera teams during productions.
- Transfer footage safely to the correct NAS / storage location and keep the project folder structure clean and consistent.
- Verify transfers before media is cleared, returned or reused, and keep an eye on missing, incomplete or incorrectly placed files.
- Maintain a simple production log so the team knows which cards, cameras and footage batches have already been transferred.
- Coordinate with camera teams so every source arrives where it should and nothing is left behind after a shoot or festival day.
- Prepare footage for editors, including organised media handoff and pre-sync preparation where it is part of the workflow.
- Keep the overall production-data workflow under control while the rest of the crew focuses on shooting and the event.
What we are looking for.
- You are careful, systematic and comfortable working with files, folders, storage and computers.
- You understand that production data must be handled patiently and verified rather than copied quickly and forgotten.
- You can communicate clearly with camera teams and keep track of several incoming media sources at once.
- Advanced editing skills are not required; organisation, reliability and attention to detail matter more.
- You are willing to learn the Bass Portal NAS, folder, card-handling and editor-handoff workflow.
Want to learn it with us?
- This is a strong internship path for someone who wants to understand music and video production from behind the scenes.
- We can teach you our NAS workflow, SD-card handling, transfer verification, project folder structure and preparation of footage for editors.
- You will work with real camera teams and real production data during studio sessions, video sets and selected festivals.
Work inside the ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with the full media lifecycle from camera card to organised storage and editor handoff.
- A practical understanding of how larger multi-camera productions stay organised under event pressure.
- Experience working directly with videographers, production teams and editors inside the Bass Portal workflow.
- A useful entry point into video production even if your strengths are organisation, computers and workflow rather than operating a camera.
Sound like you?
If you are the person who likes knowing where every card, file and folder belongs, we can teach you how that discipline fits into real music productions.
